On Earning Miles

Q. How do I ensure the Miles I earn are credited to my account?

A. For Philippine Airlines, PAL Express and Code-share flights, quote your Mabuhay Miles membership number when making your reservations or upon check-in at the airport.

For products / services availed from program partners, remember to quote your Mabuhay Miles membership number at the counter.

Q. Do I earn Miles traveling on any Philippine Airlines or Code-share flights?

A. Yes. Please note that earning Miles on Philippine Airlines Code-share flights is subject to Mabuhay Miles Terms and Conditions.

Q. Do I earn tier Miles towards the Elite levels for my All Nippon Airways (NH) flights?

A. Miles credited will be added to the member's Redeemable Miles only.

Q. Will the segment be counted as business class if I bid for an upgrade/availed of the myPALUpgrade?

A. The flown sector will counted as an economy class segment.

Q. Will my Miles expire?

A. Good news! Miles shall NO longer expire for engaged members.

Engaged members are those who have undertaken the following activities, within two (2) consecutive years, starting 01 January 2014 - 31

December 2015, and two years thereafter.

  • Earned flight Miles on PAL, Code-share, and/or other Airline Partners; and/or earned non-flight Miles thru Program Partners
  • Redeemed Miles for Flight Awards or Service Class Upgrade Awards, and other non-flight redemptions
  • Bought Miles
  • Received Bonus Miles (except for enrollment acquisition campaigns)
  • Transferred and/or received Miles
  • Reinstated expired Miles

Q. If Miles are missing from my account, how do I claim them?

A. For retro-active crediting of Flight Miles earned from Philippine Airlines or Code-share flights within the past 12 months, you may call our hotline or proceed to a PAL Ticket Office near you. You may also login to your online account, and fill-up the "Claim Missing Miles" online form in the "My Account" menu.
