Prohibited Items

For your safety and convenience, the following items are prohibited on board the aircraft. Some items may be carried as part of your check-in baggage unless prohibited by the State(s) involved. This list is non-exhaustive and other items may be included. 

The implementation of restricted and prohibited items in the carry-on and checked baggage varies depending on the security requirements of the State. Passengers are reminded to check what items are prohibited in the carry-on baggage and checked baggage specific to the country of origin, destination, and transit prior to travel. 

  

IMPORTANT REMINDERS 

The final decision rests with the relevant airport's screening officer on whether an item is allowed through the checkpoint. 
 
Our staff and crew reserve the right to confiscate any items deemed as a threat to the safety of our guests. Passenger and subject items, as may be deemed necessary, shall be endorsed to the airport’s Law Enforcement Office (LEO) for appropriate disposition.

**Allowed in the cabin if used/carried by an elderly or a person with reduced mobility, or a person with visible need  of such mobility aid. Such items shall be electronically screened and or physically inspected for anomalies. 

 

Security questions
As part of Philippine Airlines screening process, our check-in agent shall require all passengers to answer the following questions: 

1. Are the bags you are checking in yours? 
2. Did you pack the bag yourself? 
3. Are you carrying anything for another person? 
4. Has the bag been out of your possession since you packed it? 
5. Do you have any liquid, aerosol, or gel more than 100ml in your hand carry?
