Reminder – Pork Ban on domestic travel to selected destinations

We reiterate that local regulations prohibit carrying any type of pork, including pork-related products and by-products, whether raw, processed or cooked, in hand-carry and/or checked in baggage to the following domestic destinations:

 

   

Note:

1For Bacolod, lechon, chorizo, tocino, tapa, longganisa, siomai, bacon, and other processed pork products not mentioned in Section 2, E.O. No. 24-07, S 2024 are not allowed.

2For Legazpi, uncooked processed meats shall follow guidelines on ASF Zoning movement provided in DA AC 2 s.2022. Below are the following requirements:

  1. BAI Local Shipping Permit
  2. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) License to Operate (LTO)
  3. FDA Certificate of Product Registration (CPR)

* Movement of commodity from different colored zones may require a Local Government Unit Certificate of Acceptance (COA)or BAI Public-Private Audit (PPA) Certificate

3For Busuanga, allowed only if accepted as cargo shipment.

4For Caticlan & Kalibo, secure acceptance from LGU through online/website.

5For Cotabato, no pork ban if weighing 10 kgs or less.

6For Dipolog, shipper has to comply with the requirements for shipment of pork and pork products as documented in Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) Memorandum Circular No. 45 Series of 2023

The ban was imposed by the Department of Agriculture to prevent the spread of African Swine Fever (ASF) in vulnerable areas of the Philippines.  This temporary ban remains in effect until revoked by the concerned local government health authorities.

 

For a hassle-free journey, please ensure you are not carrying any of the above pork products.
